Site Manager - Distribution Centre Chesterfield to c£45k - £48k + benefits neg dep exp Our client has been established for almost half a century and specialise in the development, implementation and support of a range of innovative and dynamic automated solutions for a diverse range of customers and applications worldwide. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, highly self-motivated and technically capable Site Manager - Distribution Centre to complement their established and successful team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Site Manager - Distribution Centre will be responsible for all aspects of the production process of the automated warehouse logistic system, managing the operations of the day to day business and coordinating both the production and working processes with a 200,000sq ft distribution centre environment comprising dedicated order picking systems, highbay and miniload systems and numerous miniload crane isles and sequence lifters. You will liaise extensively with fellow multi-disciplined engineers and act as the interface between the customer on site and the management team based at the headquarters in Germany, undertaking effective strategic planning in close cooperation with the customer and with full budgetary and costs responsibility for the production area as a whole. Additionally, you will be responsible for all aspects of employee management and employee operational planning, as well as for the development, control and optimization of the service processes on site. This is an exceptional opportunity for a suitably experienced Maintenance Supervisor or Site Manager - Distribution Centre with an automation or distribution sector background to progress their career to the next level within an established and globally renowned provider, and it is envisaged that the successful candidate will possess relevant engineering qualifications (degree level or equivalent) and proven demonstrable experience and success gained within a fast paced manufacturing, engineering or maintenance environment that will have essentially included automated equipment and machinery. You will be an excellent communicator and influencer at all levels with an affinity for technology and managerial know-how, and will demonstrate a structured and pragmatic working method as well as strong leadership skills and a motivated and communicative personality.
