Project People are recruiting for a HR Business Partner on behalf of a technology organisation in Reading. The overall purpose of this position is to provide high level advisory services on a broad range of HR matters, with the successful applicant being responsible for the following: - Developing, driving and implementing HR strategy for assigned business unit, particularly within capability, employee engagement and talent initiatives in order to support the drive of business performance. - Partner with managers in business area to understand key performance issues, objectives and drivers, and subsequently drive the HR agenda. - Develop and maintain working relationships with senior line managers, and challenge their thinking. - Work closely with line managers to develop solutions to meet any current and future business needs. - Taking specific responsibility for training and development function, and work with managers and staff to ensure that training and development is understood, measured and improved. - Coach, challenge and advise senior staff on organisational effectiveness and general HR issues. - Responsible for performance management, including probation management, organisation development, change, culture and leadership. - Identify and consider the need for change and facilitate the formulation of change plans. - Implement relevant HR processes. - Undertake specialist HR projects. Key Requirements/Experience: - Degree qualified. - Solid experience of working within HR, with excellent technical HR knowledge within a widely recognised organisation. - Demonstrable understanding of employment law framework. - A commercially strong approach with good business understanding. - Experience of partnering with line managers to improve people management practices. - Experience of identifying potential talent.
