Implementation Consultant/Technical Product Manager - £65K-£70K THE Candidate for this role must have strong knowledge of SQL-THIS IS A 100% MUST HAVE. If so then this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Product Manager with a strong technical slant to work for a growing Greenfield project. To be successful in this job, you should have extensive product management and/or technical solution design and implementation experience, preferably within the context of delivering solutions within the domain of: - Regulatory reporting - e.g. MiFID, EMIR, Short Selling, FTT (ideally knowledge of upcoming regulations) - Post trade services - e.g. trade confirmations, clearing - Matching and reconciliation - e.g. cash nostro, stock depot, FOBO, intersystem - MUST HAVE STRONG SQL KNOWLEDGE (this is not a developer role) - Must be able to do presentations Proven experience of similar FinTech SaaS applications in a product management and/or technical design/implementation capacity is however required. Due to the client-facing and managerial nature of the role, good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to deal with a wide cross section of individuals and business functions (internally and externally). As a Technical Product Manager you will liaise on a regular basis with a diverse range of stakeholders possessing differing needs such as End Users, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Implementation Consultants and Technical Architects/Developers. Within this dynamic and challenging environment, the ability to adapt and scale on demand is also critical as you will be required to manage several products in parallel. 2.0 Key Responsibilities - Own (with full accountability): o The creation of new products from initial idea formation/inception thorough to production release with successful adoption by clients; and o The ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing products to ensure that they remain viable and competitive (from both a business and regulatory perspective), as well as technically stable and performant. - Manage each stage of the technical product development lifecycle, working with other members of the Technical Product Management team as well as wider technical and business personnel: o Product feasibility analysis (as per next point); o Elicitation, interpretation, and translation of product/business requirements into formal functional requirements specifications (working in conjunction with Business Analysts); o Engage with existing and prospective clients/end users (individually or in working groups) to validate and qualify product functionality/UX; o Produce requisite client-facing technical product documentation (working in conjunction with Technical Writers) - e.g. User Guides, Technical Integration Specifications, and Release Notes. o Manage technical handover and training to the Customer Support and Professional Services functions; and o Provide both early life and tier 2 support for product BAU, ensuring defect resolution in accordance with agreed SLAs. - Interface with PMO and Business Product Management to assess feasibility of new product initiatives/opportunities and formally accept or reject technical ownership. - Deliver product status/progress information to the Head of Technical Product Management and other members of senior management - Assist with refinement and improvement of Technical Product Management processes with the purpose of improving control and efficiencies across the department. - Assist with the recruitment, training and management of new Technical Product Management personnel. 4.0 Candidate Profile / Key Skills - 2+ years working as a Technical Product Manager or Product Solutions Architect, ideally with experience at either a financial software vendor or financial institution (BO/MO), preferably including management responsibilities. - Business analysis skills with proven experience of business/product requirements management (i.e. elicitation through to formalisation as functional requirements). - Good knowledge of data manipulation, enrichment, validation, normalisation and underlying concepts related to data reconciliation/quality management. - Strong business knowledge of middle/back office financial processes, especially in the areas outlined in the role profile (section 1) - Good industry / financial knowledge; ability to communicate and understand terminology used by clients (both technical and financial terminology).
