POSITION: Finance Manager, Waterman Infrastructure & Environment Ltd RESPONSIBLE TO: Financial Controller PURPOSE OF POST As Finance Manager you are responsible for managing the company's statutory and management reporting requirements. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Managing and streamlining the preparation of the monthly management accounting pack for submission to the Board and Group Finance including all supporting schedules. - Day to day management of the company's main financial facilities and Company credit cards, including the day to day relationship with the bank, management of invoice discounting movements and final approval of supplier and expense payments. - Review monthly reconciliations prepared by staff to ensure underlying transactions are accurately recorded into the ledger. - Overall management of the work in progress ledger ensuring monthly reviews by project managers are accurately recorded and that final calculations are signed off by directors. - Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns. - Create and maintain good relationships with HR, Payroll and Group Finance to ensure the company's financial information is accurate and all changes are properly accounted for. - Project managing both the interim and year-end audit process, acting as the main point of contact between external auditors and the Directors. - Day to day management of the finance team, with up to 4 direct reports. PERSON SPECIFICATION Solid experience in a management accounting role with particular emphasis on compliance and employer taxation responsibilities. It is anticipated that the candidate will have a professional accounting qualification. Candidates should have good oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, commercial awareness, initiative and the ability to work as part of a team.
