Compliance Officer Location: London, W1G 0JD Salary: Competitive with eligibility of bonuses About the client Our client is an international real estate investment manager. Circa 300 employees are employed in 12 offices across Europe and Asia, with gross assets under management at over €17bn worldwide, predominantly in pooled funds and segregated mandates for institutional investors. Duties of the Compliance Officer To carry out compliance monitoring assignments to the standards laid out in the procedures and reporting results and making recommendations for improvement as appropriate.Maintaining Internet based compliance training and assisting Compliance Management in other training as required.Maintain Compliance registers for Complaints/Breaches/Marketing Documentation/Gifts and Hospitality and PA Dealing. Ensuring all matters are documented, investigated and action taken where required.Maintain Log of compliance action plans and ensure that actions are followed-up and reported to the appropriate committees.Carry out other administration as directed to ensure smooth operation of compliance and risk functions. Required Experience/Skills of the Compliance Officer No prior experience essential but previous knowledge of compliance, financial services or real estate would be advantageous.Good planning and organisational skills to structure monitoring work and manage time effectively.Good attention to detail to test adherence with regulation.Strong learning ambition as developing understanding of business and regulations is key to advancement.Strong communications skills, to interview other employees on their duties, report on findings and influence change. Will need to present to the most senior employees in the organisation.Strong problem solving skills to identify improvement and solutions to meet regulatory requirements.
