Senior Project Quantity Surveyor (£57-75k DOE + Benefits) A great opportunity as a risen for Senior Project Quantity Surveyor based in the London Area Company You will have the opportunity to work for one of the largest housing associations in the UK, Providing affordable housing, care and support services. As a member of the National Housing Federation with a ambitious development structure, you will have the opportunity to develop your career within a large commercial team of Quantity Surveyor's . Job Role You will be responsible for the financial management of the developments undertaken by the Development Services (both financial and legal), in support of delivery of the overall development and asset management programme. You will provide management of commercial functions of all the development schemes and asset projects, working closely with the Contracts Managers to support land purchase and the project delivery. You will work closely with the Head of Commercial to provide monthly reporting of the financial positions, ensure the correct financial input into PAWMIN and IMS both actual and forecast. Ensure you are proactive in the commercial management of the portfolio of schemes including the strategic asset management of development and regeneration to cost targets ensuring compliance with defined standards, facilitate and collate information to be used in a tender pack to procure a main contractor through the procurement process within. Manage risk - ensure compliance to requirements and anticipate and manage contractual, legal and operational risks. Person You will have be a strong property development professional, able to bring together experience of new business and asset management, experience of the whole property development process including a understanding of public sector housing. You must have a Construction/surveying degree accredited by the RICS, be able to demonstrate and have the up to date technical knowledge of planning regulations, good practice and housing issues. You must have the ability influence and motive others, develop productive working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues, provide leadership to promote functional qualities and develop collaborative relationships with other organisations, oversee trainee/graduate or Assistant QS's where applicable. You must be able to manage finances and ensure an effective functional approach to the use of resources, and be able to ensure a Timeous and Accurate reporting of commercial Financial positions on all developments. You must also have a clean and full driving license. What to do next...
