Business Development Executive, Sales Executive (Engineered Components, Newcastle) Location: Newcastle Salary: £24,000 to £26,000 Ref: LC/12391 Overview My client is a highly successful precision engineering business, working across a variety of industry sectors and as part of a bigger engineering group with a global footprint. Due to the continued growth and investment, they are looking to bolster their sales team with the addition of a new recruit who will be trained and succession planned into a Business Development Manager role over time. The Company - Established in the 1950's and with an excellent track record of growth and profitability. - Part of an international engineering group with a combined turnover of $700m+. - Highly successful across industry sectors such as energy, automotive, aerospace and medical. - Operating from highly modern manufacturing facilities. The Role - Initially responsible for "farming" existing accounts whilst simultaneously developing an in depth appreciation of the company's product range and service offering. - Provide first class sales and sales support in agreed market sectors meeting and exceeding business plan targets. - Respond to Customer enquiries, gathering and coordinating Production and Engineering and Estimating teams to produce detailed proposals in a timely and professional manner priced in accordance with company strategy. - Make routine contact with lapsed customers and re-build relations to optimize quality of service, business growth, customer satisfaction and converting to profitable sales. - Work with Market Team leaders to identify opportunities within target market sectors (at OEM, Tier 1 and Tier 2), establishing contact, visiting and building relations. Open new accounts in both UK and International markets The Person - An experienced sales professional with a track record of selling a technical product. - A strong desire to develop and succeed. - Someone who enjoys customer relationships and is motivated by providing long term customer solutions. - Strong account management ability with the ability to generate new business over time. - A team player with initiative, excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
