Our client is part of a group of companies; a large, profitable business with a 70+ year history, global operations and a major philanthropic arm.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Brand Sales Manager to proactively manage the business relationship with customers for the branded range but particularly to Cash and Carry, Delivered Wholesalers and Convenience Store Customers. You will ensure profitable sales growth through data gathering and analysis and appropriate sales and marketing activity.

Responsible for the development and achievement of increased sales growth, you will explore opportunities to develop product lines and be in tune with customers through regular review and analysis. You will gather and utilise market data identifying areas for sales potential, recommend promotional activities, developing point of sale and seeking out potential new customers.

Further responsibilities include developing and maintaining an understanding of all aspects of price parameters, providing advice on pricing of all product ranges and ensuring full and accurate implementation of internal pricing systems as well as developing and writing customer business plans, negotiating prices, volumes and product values with customers and identifying customer product requirements and sales forecasts to enable appropriate stock levels to be maintained in order to meet expectations.

They are looking for someone with previous experience from within the food industry and who has experience of selling to Cash and Carry, Wholesalers and Convenience Stores with knowledge of pub sector buying being advantageous but not essential. Customers are nationally spread so the ability to travel nationally is essential with some time spent in the Liverpool office occasionally for meetings. Effective communication skills are vital in order to liaise with customers and communicate at all levels across the business.
